October 28, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored twice in the first half and went on to claim a 3-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Sewanee. DePauw improved to 10-8 overall and 4-4 in SCAC play, while Sewanee dropped to 8-5 overall and 4-4 in the conference.
Beth Seegers put the Tigers on the board at 16:05 on Carolyn Mueller's assist before Mueller made it 2-0 with an unassisted score at 20:13. DePauw extended the margin to 3-0 on Seegers' second goal on Meredith Ellis' assist. Sewanee's lone score cam from Marcy Tickner with 1:11 remaining.
DePauw outshot Sewanee 14-11 and Sewanee held an 11-9 edge in corners. DePauw's Liz Attewell recorded 10 saves as did Sewanee's Clarkie Crawford.
DePauw competes in the SCAC Championships at Sewanee, November 2-4, and the bracket will be released later.
