October 19, 2007, San Antonio, Texas - The 23rd-ranked Tigers suffered their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference loss at the hands of top-ranked Trinity by a 3-0 score. DePauw dropped to 10-3-1 overall and 5-1 in the SCAC, while Trinity improved to 14-0 overall and 6-0 in the SCAC.
Trinity's Tyrone Petrakis scored at 20:19 and 67:16, giving the hosts a 2-0 lead before Matt Beham closed the scoring at 72:33. Ben Stewart assisted on the first and third goals, while Noe Casanova added the other.
Trinity outshot DePauw, 39-7 and held a 12-0 advantage in corners. John Fenley recorded eight saves for the Tigers, while David Steinberg had two in recording Trinity's shutout.
DePauw travels to Southwestern on Sunday.Â
