October 13, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw rallied from a 19-point first-half deficit with two touchdowns in the closing 1:10 of the first half, but visiting Trinity scored on its first three possessions of the second half and took a 43-28 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory at DePauw's Blackstock Stadium.

DePauw dropped to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the SCAC, while 23rd-ranked Trinity improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the SCAC.

The hosts looked poised to take the early lead as Reed Scherrer returned an interception 23 yards and the Tigers drove to the Trinity 5, but Brendan Smith's 22-yard field goal missed to the right.

Trinity then embarked on the first of four straight scoring drives as quarterback Blake Barmore gave his team a 12-0 lead with touchdown runs of 10 and 21 yards and tossed a 15-yard scoring pass to Riley Curry 6:19 left in the half to make it 19-0.

DePauw quarterback Spud Dick connected on a 12-yard scoring strike to Bryan Mulligan with 3:16 left in the half to close the margin to 19-7, but the visitors needed just two plays on their next series to push the lead to 26-7 as Curry caught a 20-yard pass from Barmore.

Alex Koors caught a 5-yard pass from Dick which capped a nine-play, 72-yard drive and made it 26-14 with 1:10 left in the half, before Mike Sprengnether scooped up a Trinity fumble at the DePauw 46 and streaked down the sidelines for the score that made it 26-21 as the halftime sirens sounded.

On the opening series of the second half, Trinity marched 75 yards in 2:14 and scored when Barmore fumbled into the end zone and Chris Baer recovered. DePauw then advanced into Trinity territory, but was forced to punt and Adam Hill landed the punt at the 14. Trinity then put together a 13-play, 86-yard possession which ended with Peter Licalzi's 23-yard field goal.

Trinity's final points came on Jonathan Plotnick's 1-yard run with 8:13 left in the game, while DePauw's lone second-half score came on Chris Gasbarra's 6-yard pass from Dick.

Trinity totaled 618 yards of offense including 476 through the air by Barmore as he completed 22 of 32 passes. Curry hauled in 10 catches for 167 yards, while Shawn Thompson and Caleb Urban each topped the 100-yard receiving plateau.

DePauw finished with 386 yards of offense including a career-high 318 through the air by Dick on 27-of-50 passing. Jeremiah Marks, who missed the last three games due to injury, totaled 72 yards on 20 carries. Mulligan caught eight passes for 108 yards and Koors added seven grabs.

J.J. Costello led DePauw with 10 tackles, while Tarren Collins had seven. Brandon Grenier, Brian Marynowitz and Chris Jones each had six stops for Trinity. The Tigers sacked Barmore five times with Michael McNelis leading the way with two. Three different Trinity players recorded one sack each and Shaun Irchirl had two interceptions.

DePauw travels to Colorado College next Saturday, while Trinity hosts Sewanee.
