January 13, 2007, Bloomington, Ill. - The 11th-ranked Tigers improved to 5-1 following a 154-119 win at Illinois Wesleyan.
The Tigers won eight individual events and one relay led by Katie Doogan and Amanda Stier with three wins each.
Doogan claimed firsts in the 100-yard breatstroke in 1:13.86, the 50 freestyle in 25.46 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.46. Stier won the 200 butterfly in 2:13.16, the 200 backstroke in 2:18.94 and the 200 individual medley in 2:15.53.
Kelly Niezer picked up the other two firsts in the 1000 free in 11:38.61 and the 200 breast in 2:37.95.
The 200 medley relay of Cassie Enix, Niezer, Danielle Johnson and Kelsey Warsinske opened the meet by winning in 1:59.71.
DePauw returns to action on January 19-20 at the Washington-St. Louis Invitational.
