September 23, 2006, Chicago, Ill. - Host Chicago scored an own goal in the 63rd minute and claimed a 1-0 victory over eighth-ranked DePauw. The 12th-ranked Maroons improved to 6-0-1, while the Tigers dropped to 5-2.

The goal came at 63:11 on a University of Chicago cross that deflected off of a DePauw defender and into the goal.

Each team recorded 10 shots with nine of DePauw's coming in the second half. DePauw held a 5-4 edge in corners.

DePauw's Brooke Shipley and Chicago's Polly Cline each recorded two saves.

The Tigers open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday, September 29, at Millsaps.
