September 2, 2006, Wheaton, Ill. - The 17th-ranked Tigers improved to 2-0 following a 1-0 win over Fredonia State at the Bob Baptista Invitational at Wheaton College.

Katy Phillips provided the Tigers with all they needed with an assist from Mary Beth Robinson at 19:28. Brooke Shipley recorded her second shutout of the year. DePauw held a 16-1 advantage in shots and a 3-0 edge in corners.

The Tigers' 2-0 start is their best since the 1994 season. DePauw hosts Wittenberg at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 9.
