Box Score April 28, 2006, Sewanee, Tenn. - The Tigers opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament play with a 7-3 victory over Rose-Hulman. DePauw improved to 30-8, while the Engineers dropped to 12-28.

Rose-Hulman took a 1-0 lead in the first on Katie Frey's RBI grounder, but the Tigers plated three in the bottom of the first on am RBI single from Rachel Gill and Ashley Sewell's sacrifice fly. Carolyn Bartlett scored on a wild pitch.
The Tigers added its other four runs in the fourth Chelsy Patterson drove in a run with a single and later scored from third on a double steal. Bartlett drove in a pair with a single to push the DePauw lead to 7-1.
Rose-Hulman scored two in the sixth on Jennifer Pint's two-run homer to left.
Bartlett led the Tigers with three of their nine hits, while Katie Yiznitsky collected three of the Engineers' nine hits.
Lauren Curosh broke the DePauw single-season record with her 18th win against just seven losses, while Katie Maggard dropped to 8-7.
