March 15, 2006, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind. - The Tigers improved to 5-1 following a doubleheader sweep at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. DePauw won by scores of 9-0 and 10-8.

Lauren Curosh pitched a two-hit shutout in the first game and the Tigers collected eight hits in the win. Lauren Rees went 3-for-4 with four runs and five RBI including a three-run homer in the second and a two-run double in the third. Curosh improved to 3-1 with the victory.

In the second game, the Tigers jumped out to a 9-3 lead and pounded out 16 hits. Carolyn Bartlett collected three hits, while Rees, Kristy Mahon, Jessica Krueger, Chelsy Patterson and Nicole Kernan each had two. Katherine Veatch improved to 2-0 with the win in the circle.

The Tigers face Trinity in a doubleheader at Rhodes College on Friday, March 17 beginning at 1 p.m.
