November 4, 2006, Memphis, Tenn. - Centre scored twice in the final eight minutes and claimed a 3-1 victory over DePauw in today's second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference semifinal match.
Centre took a 1-0 lead with 28:37 left in the first half on Taylor Gray's goal with Maegan Nash assisting.
DePauw tied the contest at 1-1 on
Melissa Davis' goal on an assist from
Beth Seegers. Nash broke the tie with just 7:19 remaining and Teresa Johnstone added an insurance goal with 5:36 left.
Centre outshot the Tigers 6-3, while DePauw held an 8-5 edge in corners.
DePauw, 11-7, faces Sewanee at 10 a.m. on Sunday in the third-place game.
