November 11, 2006, Wheaton, Ill. - Macalester scored twice in the opening 25 minutes of the second half and held on to defeat DePauw, 2-1, in the NCAA Division III Championship first round match.

DePauw finished the season at 12-5, while Macalester improved to 13-2-5.

Rose Betzler scored, unassisted, at 59:49 before Annie Borton made it 2-0 at 69:25 on an assist from Grace Geiger. DePauw's lone score came at 71:59 on Mary Beth Robinson's penalty kick.

DePauw outshot Macalester 10-7, while Macalester held a 6-5 edge in corners. Brooke Shipley posted four saves for DePauw, while Jenny Lee had five for Macalester.
