October 8, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw's Katy Phillips scored just 2:47 into the first overtime and lifted the 15th-ranked Tigers to a 1-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Sewanee.

DePauw improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the SCAC, while Sewanee dropped to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

The Tigers outshot Sewanee 16-6 and held a 9-1 advantage in corners. Brooke Shipley recorded the save for DePauw with three saves, while Tayloe Steedman had 11 saves for Sewanee.

DePauw returns to action on Monday, October 16, when they travel to Rose-Hulman.
