October 28, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw opened the 2006-07 season with a victory over visiting Washington University.
The Tigers won all but four events on the way to the victory. Rob Alexander led the Tigers with firsts in the 50-yard freestyle (21.29), the 100 free (48.01) and the 100 butterfly (52.42). He was just .04 seconds shy of the NCAA provisional time in the 50 free.
Brock Sishc was a double winner in the 200 fly (2:00.65) and the 200 back (2:01.47), while Adam Wishart took first in both diving events with 227.8 points on the one-meter board and 213.35 on the three meter.
Charlie Boehme won the 1000 free in 10:06.53, while John Cook took first in the 200 free in 1:45.68 and Steve Klabak won the 100 backstroke in 56.44.
The Tigers won both relays as Gib Wallace, Michael Young, Kyle Kerrigan and Greg Nowak won the 200 medley relay in 1:40.49 with Cook, Kerrigan, Nowak and Alexander winning the 400 free relay in 3:14.34.
The Tigers travel to Wabash on Friday, November 3.
