Tigers drop to 5-8 following loss at Rose-Hulman

January 7, 2006, Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw dropped to 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a 69-52 loss at Rose-Hulman. The Engineers improved to 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

The Tigers held a 21-20 lead late in the first half before the Engineers put together a 12-4 run to take a 32-25 lead at the break.

The Engineers then scored the first eight points of the second half to extend the lead to 40-25. DePauw got no closer than 10 the rest of the way and Rose-Hulman would lead by as many as 22.

Stephen Schott paced the Tigers with 12 points with Austin Brown adding 11. Munchie Muskeyvalley and Jared Moore each posted career highs for the Engineers with 28 and 16 points, respectively.

Rose-Hulman held a 32-27 edge on the boards and were paced by Moore's nine. Alex Stewart led the Tigers with seven rebounds.

The Tigers host Centre on Friday, January 13, at 8 p.m.
