January 14, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - The 18th-ranked men's swimming and diving team improved to 6-2 with a 171-45 win over visiting Illinois Wesleyan at the Erdmann Natatorium.
Three Tigers won two events each as Robert Alexander took first in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.49 seconds and the 500 free in 5:03.96. Michael Young won the 100 butterfly in 56.39 seconds and the 100 breastroke in 1:04.50 and Jonathan Enenbach won one-meter diving with 250.90 points and three-meter with 235.50 points.
Kiel Beehler won the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:54.75, while Landon Boehm finished first in the 200 individual medley in 2:03.48 and Gregg Nowak won the 100 free in 48.62 seconds.
The 200 medley relay of Dan Vidican, Clay Taylor, Matt Krein and Alexander won in 1:43.63 as did the 200 free relay of Joe Fox, Zach Marquand, Matt Forsheim and Peter Riggs in 1:32.08.
DePauw hosts Wabash on Wednesday, January 18, at 7 p.m. at the Erdmann Natatorium.
