September 25, 2005, Lexington, Ky. - DePauw improved to 6-2 on the season following a 4-0 win at Transylvania. The Pioneers dropped to 1-8.
Allison Baccich gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead just 59 seconds into the game on an assist from Meredith Ellis. Ellis made it 2-0 early in the second before Baccich scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Becca Gaines. Marjorie Weigel rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal with under 15 minutes to play.
DePauw outshot Transylvania 21-9, but the Pioneers hed a 6-4 advantage in corners. Karyn Keenan recorded seven saves for the shutout, while Taylor McGinnis had 11 for Transylvania.
DePauw travels to Rhodes on Friday, September 30, in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
