September 24, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 4-2-1 on the season following a 6-0 win over visiting Franklin. The Grizzlies dropped to 4-5 with the loss.
The Tigers outshot Franklin 43-3 and held a 10-1 advantage in corners. DePauw jumped out to a 2-0 first-half lead as Blaker Porter scored on an assist from Craig Lippincott at 15:15 before Jeremy Rielley added an unassisted goal at 29:20.
Graham Lukens scored on Rielley's cross at 51:35 before Porter scored for the second time with a penalty kick at 61:51. John Cross made it 5-0 with a goal at 72:54 and Salvatore Greco rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal at 83:05.
John Fenley and Cody Ladd shared the shutout in goal for the Tigers with Fenley recording two saves. T.J. Davis had 18 saves for Franklin.
DePauw hosts Rose-Hulman on October 1 at 1 p.m. in its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener.
