September 11, 2005, Wooster, Ohio - The DePauw field hockey team improved to 2-1 with a 4-0 blanking of the College of Wooster. The Scots dropped to 1-3 with the loss.
Allison Baccich scored a hat trick with one first half goal and a pair over the final 35 minutes. Her first score came just 10 minutes into the contest with an assist from Meliss Davis off of a penalty corner.
Meredith Ellis scored unassisted with just over 21 minutes left in the half to make it 2-0. Ellis then assisted Baccich with 9:35 remaining before Baccich rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal with 8:35 remaining.
DePauw outshot Wooster 14-6 and held a 6-5 advantage in penalty corners. Kaitlin Thomure recorded five saves in goal for the Tigers while Anne Leigh had six for Wooster.
The Tigers open Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday when they host Rhodes at 4 p.m.
