September 10, 2005, Oberlin, Ohio - The DePauw field hockey team slipped to 1-1 on the season following a 4-3 loss at Oberlin.
The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead on first-half goals by Meredith Ellis and Allison Baccich, but the Yeowomen battled back to tie the game at 2-2 with late first-half scored by Lela Hull and Abigail Brox.
DePauw's Julie Brayton gave the Tigers the lead with 13:42 remaining in regulation before Hull tied the score with 12:00 left. Claire Cheney scored the game-winner with 7:30 left in the second overtime.
Oberlin outshot the Tigers 15-10 and held a 13-12 advantage in corners. Kaitlin Thomure had nine saves for the Tigers while Lauren Malinowski had eight for Oberlin.
DePauw travels to Wooster for a Sunday game.
