April 17, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw softball team has earned the number three seed from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Eastern Division and will compete in the SCAC Championship at Hendrix College beginning on Friday.

The Tigers begin play in the double elimination tournament on Friday at 11 a.m. when they face Trinity which earned the second seed in the Western Division. If they win they would then play again at 3 p.m. on Friday and if they lose, they would play at 5 p.m.

DePauw is 19-16-1 overall and finished SCAC play with a 4-8 record including seven extra-inning games in conference play.
