November 6, 2005, Memphis, Tenn. - DePauw defeated Rhodes College 3-0 to claim the outright Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title and the conference's automatic qualification into the NCAA Division III Championship.

Emily Petrus scored twice and assisted on another with Sarah Hile adding the other goal. Hile scored the eventual game-winner at 51:32 on Petrus' assist. Petrus then scored, unassisted, at 57:33 and 76:18.

DePauw outshot Rhodes 13-7 and the Lynx held a 7-5 advantage in corners. Brooke Shipley recorded one save in posting her 10th shutout of the season, while Allie Kotula totaled one save.

The Tigers finished the regular season with an 11-6 overall record and an 8-1 mark in SCAC play, while Rhodes finished at 11-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the conference.
