November 6, 2005, Memphis, Tenn. - DePauw closed out the 2005 regular season with a 3-0 win at Rhodes and improved to 11-4-2 overall and tied for second in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at 6-2-1.
After the teams battled through a scoreless first half, Blake Porter gave the Tigers all they would need with an assist from Scott Noel 53:42 before Craig Lippincott scored on a penalty kick at 82:59. Jeremy Rielly added the final goal, unassisted, at 89:07.
DePauw outshot Rhodes 15-4 and the Lynx held a 6-5 advantage in corners. John Fenley totaled two saves in recording the Tigers' sixth shutout of the season, while Alex Mathis finished with three saves for Rhodes.
The Tigers extended their streak of .500 or better seasons to 23 straight years.
