November 4, 2005, Sewanee, Tenn. - The Tigers are 24-9 overall and 11-4 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a split of their first two matches at the SCAC Cross-Divisional.
The Tigers defeated Millsaps 3-1 (26-30, 30-27, 30-26, 30-19) before Rhodes beat the Tigers 3-2 (26-30, 30-25, 30-23, 29-31, 15-12).
Against Millsaps, Kim Hamer led the Tigers with 17 kills followed by Liz Pollom with 12. Sherise Denny paced the Tigers with 29 assists, while Jenni Zeser totaled 27 digs and Megan Weinheimer added 15. Lizzy Ackermann led DePauw with eight blocks.
In the Rhodes match, Ali Pinkston and Pollom each recorded 14 kills with Denny totaling 27 assists. Zeser finished with 36 digs with Kim Hamer adding eight blocks.
The Tigers face Hendrix and Southwestern on Saturday.
