October 7, 2005, San Antonio, Texas - The Tigers opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional play at Trinity with a pair of 3-0 losses to Southwestern and 14th-ranked Trinity. With the two defeats, DePauw dropped to 15-7 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Southwestern won by scores of 30-25, 30-24, 30-23 as Liz Pollom led the Tigers with 13 kills. Sarah Drew recorded 16 digs and three aces, while Sherise Denny totaled 23 assists and Lizzy Ackermann recorded six blocks.

Trinity defeated the Tigers 30-25, 30-19, 30-21. Pollom, Kim Hamer and Pinkston led the way with six kills apiece with Sherise Denny adding 18 assists. Jenni Zeser recorded 17 digs with Pinkston and Denny totaling two aces apiece. Ackermann and Hamer each finished with two blocks.

DePauw faces Rhodes and Hendrix on Saturday and concludes the cross-divisional against Millsaps on Sunday.
