October 22, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored twice in the first and three times in the second half on the way to a 5-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Centre.
DePauw, 8-5 overall, finished SCAC regular season play tied for second with Sewanee at 3-3. Centre dropped to 7-8 overall and 2-4 in the SCAC.
Emily Wiscomb put the Tigers ahead less than three minutes into the contest on an assist from Allison Baccich before Caitlin Driscoll made it 2-0 on an assist from Wiscomb with 28:10 left in the half.
Melissa Davis scored on an assist from Becca Gaines with 31:26 left in the game, while Driscoll scored her second goal with 20:09 remaining and Carolyn Mueller rounded out the scoring with 5:50 left.
DePauw outhshot the Colonels 8-5 and held a 9-3 advantage in corners. Kaitlin Thomure recorded three saves in posting her fifth shutout. Ann Guagliardo had two saves for Centre.
The Tigers host Transylvania at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
