October 16, 2005, Atlanta, Ga. - The Tigers improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the SCAC following a 2-0 win at Oglethorpe. The Stormy Petrels dropped to 3-7-1 overall and 1-3 in SCAC play.

Jacki Ponder scored, unassisted, at 54:59 and Hillary Gerwin added the second goal with an assist from Mary Beth Robinson at 66:38.

The Tigers outshot Oglethorpe 26-9 and held a 10-0 advantage in corners. Brooke Shipley totaled two saves in posting her seventh shutout of the season. Allison Evans finished with 10 saves for the Stormy Petrels.

DePauw's win coupled with Trinity's loss to Southwestern on Saturday has vaulted the Tigers into first place in the SCAC standings.

The Tigers return to action on October 20 when they travel to Wheaton for a 7 p.m. game.
