October 1, 2005, Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw split its two Saturday matches as it lost to Capital and defeated Kenyon. The Tigers are 15-5 on the season.

Capital beat the Tigers by a 3-2 (28-30, 23-30, 30-15, 30-25, 15-7)score. Kim Hamer led the way with 23 kills, while Liz Pollom followed with 11. Sherise Denny led with 37 assists, while Jenny Zeser totaled 32 digs followed by Denny with 27 and Ali Pinkston with 26. Hamer led with seven blocks and Pinkston followed with five, while Sarah Drew paced the team with three service aces.

DePauw then defeated Capital in three games 30-18, 30-22, 30-19 as Pollom finished with eight kills and Christina Dickerson added seven. Denny and Drew each had 17 kills with Drew adding two service aces. Zeser finished with 15 digs and Adrienne Cobb added three blocks.

DePauw returns to action on Friday, October 7, in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional at Trinity.
