January 15, 2005, Bloomington, Ill. - The DePauw women's swimming and diving team improved to 4-4 following a 160-76 victory at Illinois Wesleyan.
The Tigers won all 11 individual events and both relays in taking the win. Three DePauw swimmers won two events each with Katie Doogan taking first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.83) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.18), Erin Schramm winning the 1000 free (11:13.87) and the 500 free (5:32.80) and Amy Ratliff earning first in one-meter diving (218.55) and on the three-meter board (205.05).
Maddison Hamil won the 50 free in 25.32 while Lauren Winter notched a first in the 200 individual medley in 2:24.93 and Kelsey Warsinske won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.20.
Megan Davenport won the 100 free in 56.33 and Kelly Niezer finished first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.72.
The 200 medley relay won in 1:56.32 as did the 200 free relay in 1:45.22
DePauw returns to action on Friday, January 21, when the compete at the Washington (Mo.) Invitational.
