Box Score 2 Anderson, Ind. - A four-run rally in the top of the seventh of the nightcap gave DePauw a 5-1 victory at Anderson and a split of its doubleheader with the Ravens. Anderson won the first game by a 7-4 score. The Tigers are 9-13 on the season, while the Ravens are 8-7.
In the first game, Anderson scored one in the second with two outs after three DePauw errors and just one base hit. They added two in the third with another two-out rally that started with Dawn Sanders' double and Casie Dean's two-run homer.
DePauw got on the board in the fifth as Lauren Curosh singled with two outs and scored after Carli Wortman reached base on an error.
The Ravens added four in the fifth on an RBI singles by Tonya Moore and Sanders and a two-run triple by Dean. DePauw scored three in the seventh as Jessica Bowlds led off with a double and scored on Hillary Enyart's double. Worthman followed with a run-scoring double before Kristy Mahon drove in Worthman with a single.
Six different Tigers finished with one hit each, while Anderson collected seven hits led by Sanders and Dean with two apiece. Curosh dropped to 4-6 with the loss, while Amber Hall improved to 7-2 with the win.
In the nightcap, the Tigers fell behind in the second when Lesli Randall scored from third after the Ashley Sewell threw out Amy Loehndorf who was attempting to steal second. DePauw tied the contest in the fourth as Laura Schlensker led off with a triple and scored when Caroline Provan reached on an Anderson error.
DePauw then scored four times in the seventh as Worthman hit a one-out triple and Nicole Kernan reached on a fielder's choice. Mahon singled to score Worthman and Schlensker hit a two-out, three-run homer.
Worthman and Schlensker each had two hits, while Enyart and Provan limited the Ravens to just six hits. Provan improved to 1-2 with the win in relief, while Dean dropped to 1-5.
DePauw opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday when it hosts Sewanee in a noon doubleheader.
