GEORGETOWN, Texas - The host Pirates scored all three of their goals in the first half on the way to a 3-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win. DePauw dropped to 6-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the SCAC, while Southwestern improved to 6-5-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the conference.

Ramsey Smith gave Southwestern all it would need with a goal just 4:20 into the contest on an assist from Jose Lauro Davalos. Davalos made it 2-0 with an assist from Kevin Donovan at 22:18 before Troy Hutchens scored on a double assist from Donovan and Scott Smith.

The Pirates outshot DePauw 16-9 and held a 7-5 advantage in corners.

DePauw travels to defending national champion Trinity on Sunday.
