COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The DePauw men's soccer team dropped to 6-5-1 on the season following a 2-1 loss at Colorado College. The host and 23rd-ranked Tigers improved to 14-2-1 with the win.
Patrick McGinnis, the leading scorer in Division III play, put Colorado College ahead just 2:38 into the contest on a penalty kick. DePauw's Craig Lippincott evened the contest at 1-1 with an unassisted score at 12:35. McGinnis struck again with another penalty kick at 81:05. That goal was McGinnis' 33rd of the season and tied a 34-year old school record.
Colorado College outshot DePauw 21-17 with DePauw holding a 4-3 edge in corners. Kyle Clemens recorded five saves for DePauw, while Patrick Gannon had six for Colorado College.
DePauw returns to action on Friday, October 22, at Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Southwestern.
