Tigers defeat Centre; even mark at 4-4

DePauw won all but two events on the way to a 138-81 victory over visiting Centre. The win lifted the Tigers' record to 4-4 on the season.

 

Megan Davenport won both the 200 freestyle (2:02.06) and 100 butterfly (1:03.64), while Lauren Rakes took first in both the 50 free (26.30) and the 100 free (56.99).

 

Meagan Goss was a double-winner as well by winning the 1000 free (11:38.33) and the 500 free (5:44.96) with Katie Beehler claiming firsts in the 200 individual medley (2:23.33) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.88). Amy Ratliff won in both in diving events with 183.3 points on the one-meter board and 205.95 points in three-meter competition.

 

The Tigers' 400 medley relay of Beehler, Blair McCarthy, Sarah Lovison and Rakes won in 4:22.22.

 

DePauw travels to the University of Indianapolis on Friday, January 16, for a 6 p.m. meet.
