The Tiger volleyball team opened the 2003 season with a split of their four matches at the College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational and placed fifth in the tournament.

DePauw opened play on Friday with a 30-21, 30-23, 30-10 win over Buffalo State and followed with a 30-21, 13-30, 30-32, 17-30 loss to Capital. This afternoon the Tigers lost to ninth-ranked Mount St. Joseph 26-30, 27-30, 13-30, but came back in the playoff round to defeat Thomas More 30-14, 27-30, 30-22, 30-16.

The Tigers return to action on September 5-6 at the Hanover Invitational.
