Greencastle, Ind. - Host DePauw survived a late Albion rally and defeated the 20th-ranked Britons 73-68. DePauw improved to 4-2 with its third straight win, while Albion dropped to 5-1 with the loss.

DePauw led 68-52 after Alex Stewart hit two free throws with 3:20 left, but Albion's pressure forced the Tigers into five turnovers in their next six possessions. Michael Thomas' three-pointer with 31 seconds left capped a 16-3 run and closed the gap to three at 71-68.

Aaron Drake hit one of two free throws with 21 seconds remaining to push the lead back to four and Thomas missed a three-pointer with 15 seconds left. DePauw's Derek Lawrence hit one of two charity tosses with 13 seconds remaining before Zachary Silas missed a three with six seconds left and the put-back was off the mark.

DePauw trailed just once in the contest at 10-9 and led by as many as 15 in the first half on the way to a 29-19 halftime advantage. After the Tigers pushed the lead to 13 early in the second, Albion closed to within three with a 12-2 run. A 13-4 DePauw stretch pushed the margin to 17 before the Britons began their rally.

Thomas led all scorers with 34 as he hit five three-pointers and was 11 of 12 from the line. DePauw's Stewart also nailed five-three pointers and equaled a career high with 20 points. Drake and Lawrence each finished with 15 while Joey Hanger added 10 and dished out five assists.

DePauw shot 61.5 percent from the floor and held Albion to 40.7 percent. The Britons outrebounded DePauw 27-23 and grabbed 14 on the offensive glass. Brandon Crawford led Albion with six rebounds and Drake pulled down a game-high seven for the Tigers.
