Box Score DePauw, ranked 14th in Division III, captured the outright Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship with a 3-0 win over visiting Rose-Hulman. The Tigers, who are headed to the NCAA Division III Championship, finished the regular season with a 13-4 overall record and a 9-0 mark in SCAC play. Rose-Hulman concluded its season with a 13-4-2 overall record and a 5-3-1 SCAC mark.
The Tigers scored twice in the first half as Corinne Scott scored unassisted at 19:14. Crissy Harter made it 2-0 at 35:30 on Mary Beth Robinson's assist. DePauw finished the scoring on Meredith Rinaker's goal with an assist from Robinson.
DePauw outshot 19 the Engineers 19-3 and held a 3-1 advantage in corners. Ali Glibkowsi recorded two saves as the Tigers posted their 10th shutout of the season and increased their goal margin in SCAC games to 27-1. Gina Cozad had four saves for Rose-Hulman.
DePauw opens NCAA Division III tournament play next week and that announcement will come late Sunday or early Monday.
