14th-ranked Tigers blank Sewanee in overtime

Kate Nickols' goal with an assist from Mary Beth Robinson and Crissy Harter just 57 seconds into the first overtime period lifted 14th-ranked DePauw to a 1-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Sewanee.

 

DePauw outshot Sewanee 22-8 for the game and 16-4 in the second half and held a 10-5 advantage in corner kicks as well.

 

The host Tigers recorded their fourth straight shutout and sixth on the season. Ali Glibkowski recorded three saves for DePauw, while Tayloe Steedman had eight for Sewanee including seven in the second half.

 

In winning its fourth straight game, DePauw improved to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the SCAC, while Sewanee dropped to 6-4 overall and 1-3 in the SCAC.

 

DePauw travels to Wheaton on Saturday, October 11, for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
