Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 14-2 overall and 9-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 102-63 win over visiting Hendrix. The Warriors dropped to 2-13 overall and 1-9 in the SCAC.
The Tigers, ranked seventh by Basketball America and eighth according to D3 hoops.com, shot nearly 61 percent for the contest and 12 of the 14 players who played reached the scorebook. Jeremy Bettis scored 18, while Matt Kleymeyer added a career-high 15 and Joe Ringger posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Howland dished out seven assists in just 18 minutes of play and the Tigers held a 41-27 advantage on the boards.
The Tigers started pulling away midway through the first half as they stretched a three-point lead to 24-7 with 9:08 left in the first half with a 14-0 run. Six different DePauw players scored during the stretch.
DePauw's biggest lead of the half came as they went to the break with a 45-22 lead. The Tigers pushed the lead to 30 before coach Bill Fenlon cleared the bench with 13 minutes left in the contest. DePauw's lead reached as many as 41 points late in the second half.
