Tigers battle back for 3-2 win over Southwestern
After winning the first game, the Tigers dropped the next two before rallying to win the fourth and fifth games and the match, 3-2. DePauw finishes the regular season with with a 27-6 overall record and in second place in the SCAC at 16-2. They now await word of a possible bid to the NCAA Championship which will be announced either late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.
DePauw stands at 26-6 after two days of SCAC Cross-Divisional

Tigers finish second at Midwest Invitational
DePauw advanced to the finals of the Midwest Invitational at Calvin by defeating Hope (30-28, 30-17, 30-24), before NAIA seventh-ranked Dordt defeated the Tigers (30-27, 30-27, 25-30, 30-18). Janie Hodgkinson and Jenny Wingstrom were named to the all-tournament team. DePauw is now 24-5 on the season.
Tigers increase win streak to seven at Midwest Invitational
DePauw improved to 23-4 with a pair of wins at the Midwest Invitational at Calvin College. The Tigers defeated Kalamazoo 30-18, 30-9, 30-16 an then beat North Park 30-17, 24-30, 30-9, 30-19. In the two matches, DePauw totaled 41 aces led by Sara Grunden with 14.
Hodgkinson named Division III and SCAC Player of the Week
Senior outside hitter Janie Hodgkinson was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association/Sports Imports Division III Player of the Week for her performance in the Tigers' four wins at the SCAC Divisional. The honor marks the 12th time she has been named SCAC Player of the Week in her career.

Tigers win all four matches of SCAC Divisional
DePauw topped Oglethorpe, Centre, Sewanee and Rose-Hulman by 3-0 scores SCAC Divisional at Rose-Hulman. The Tigers improved to 20-4 overall and 11-1 in the SCAC.
Tigers fall to second-ranked Lions in four games
DePauw won the first game against second-ranked Mount St. Joseph, but the visiting Lions came back to take the final three and the match (25-30, 30-20, 30-20, 30-23). With her 16 kills, Janie Hodgkinson became the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's all-time kills leader with 2,023. She broke the mark of 2,010 held by Kate Maffei of Rhodes (1994-97). Hodgkinson's 24 digs moved her into third place on the SCAC all-time list with 1,838. She needs three to moved into second place. DePauw tops Southwestern and Rhodes to finish SCAC first-half with 7-1 mark
The Tigers completed SCAC Cross-Divisional play with a pair of 3-0 wins over Southwestern (30-17, 30-25, 30-24) and Rhodes (30-19, 30-18, 30-18) to improved to 16-3 overall and 7-1 in the SCAC.
Tigers open SCAC Cross-Divisional play with win over Millsaps and loss to Trinity
DePauw won its 14th straight match with a 30-15, 30-20, 30-22 win over Millsaps in the first match of the SCAC Cross-Divisional hosted by Millsaps, but then fell to eighth-ranked Trinity in five games. Trinity took the win 30-25, 25-30, 30-28, 16-30, 15-8. DePauw is now 14-3 overall and 5-1 in the SCAC with the split. The loss to Trinity snapped DePauw's 14-match win streak.
Tigers roll to 13th straight win
DePauw wasted little time in picking up its 13th straight win of the season as the blanked Earlham 3-0 (30-12, 30-11, 30-15). Janie Hodgkinson recorded seven kills and five digs in two games, while Renee Meyrose added six digs in two games. Hodgkinson named SCAC Co-Player of the Week
Janie Hodgkinson earned SCAC Player of the Week honors for the third time this year as she shared that distinction with Trinity's Shawn McLaughlin for play in the conference's divisional tournament. Hodgkinson averaged 5.57 kills and 5.0 digs per game and posted a .402 hitting percentage in the Tigers' four wins. In Sunday's win over Rose-Hulman she became the all-time kills leader at DePauw and in the Sewanee match she set the DePauw career digs record. Her career totals include 1,939 kills and 1,741 digs.
DePauw wins all four matches at SCAC Eastern Divisional
DePauw improved to 12-2 on the season and extended their win streak to 12 straight with four wins at the SCAC Eastern Divisional tournament. The Tigers defeated Sewanee, Oglethorpe and Rose-Hulman by 3-0 scores before coming from behind to beat Centre 3-2. The Tigers trailed the Colonels 2-1 before winning the fourth game and trailed 13-7 in the fifth game, but scored eight straight points to take the match.
Tigers win eighth straight with 3-0 victory over Millikin
Janie Hodgkinson recorded 15 kills, while Renee Meyrose added 24 digs as the Tigers defeated host Millikin 30-25, 30-19, 30-24 for their eighth straight win to improve to 8-2 on the season. Box score
Hodgkinson named SCAC Player of the Week for second straight time
Senior outside hitter Janie Hodgkinson has earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. In five wins at the Hanover Invitational she averaged 5.81 kills and 5.44 digs per game and recorded a .512 hitting percentage on the way to earning tournament MVP honors.
Tigers win Hanover Invitational for third straight year
DePauw won all five matches to improve to 7-2 on the season and win their third straight Hanover Invitational. Janie Hodgkinson was named the tournament MVP for the second straight year and Jenny Wingstrom was named to the all-tournament team for the second consecutive year. The Tigers went 3-0 in pool play with a pair of 3-0 wins over Anderson and Franklin and a 3-1 victory over Spalding. In the semifinals, DePauw defeated Centre 3-0 and then beat Anderson 3-0 in the finals. Hodgkinson finished the tournament with 93 kills and 87 digs in 16 games.
Hodgkinson named SCAC Player of the Week
Senior Janie Hodgkinson earned SCAC Player of the Week honors for matches played from August 31-September 2. In the Tigers' four matches she posted a .447 attack percentage, averaged 4.47 kills and 4.93 digs per game.
DePauw splits four matches at Mount St. Joseph tournament
The Tigers opened the season at the College of Mount St. Joseph tournament and split their four matches. The Tigers, ranked 19th in Division III, lost to 14th-ranked Wittenberg 3-1 and ninth-ranked Ohio Northern 3-0 before defeating Southern Virginia 3-0 and Hope 3-2.
Tigers ranked 19th in Division III preseason poll
In the preseason poll by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the Tigers are ranked 19th in Division III. DePauw finished the 2000 season with a 32-6 record and earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship. Complete poll

DePauw picked second in SCAC preseason poll
In voting by Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Coaches, the Tigers are picked to finish second behind Trinity. Trinity totaled 98 points and seven first-place votes, while DePauw was second with 87 points and one first-place vote. Southwestern was third with 82 points and one first-place vote.
