Conway, Ark. - Improved play on the road was a major emphasis for Bill Fenlon's Tigers this season and a tough pre-conference schedule is beginning to pay off as the Tigers swept their two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents. The Tigers established themselves early by scoring the game's first nine points with the last two coming on Ringger's fast break dunk. DePauw stretched that margin to a high of 16 points at halftime.

The teams exchanged baskets to open the second half before DePauw rattled off a 10-2 run to push the margin to 53-29. It reached as many as 28 late in the game.
