Roger Dortch is in his 16th year at DePauw University. He is an assistant athletic trainer as well as the coordinator of strength and conditioning and the fitness center director. Dortch is primarily responsible for the men's and women's soccer, men's lacrosse and men's and women's golf teams
A 2001 graduate of Central College-Pella, Dortch went on to earn his Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training from Indiana State University in 2002. He has been a certified athletic trainer since 2001 and is licensed as an athletic trainer in the state of Indiana. Additionally, he has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 2002.
Dortch is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Indiana Athletic Trainers' Associaiton and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Associaiton. He is an Indiana State University approved Clinical Instructor, an American Red Cross certified instructor for First Aid, AED and CPR and has his Professional Rescuer certification.
In addition to his athletic training duties at DePauw, Dortch serves as a part-time instructor in the Kinesiology Department, winter term course instructor and serves as a faculty advisor for independent study projects and senior seminar research projects.
While earning his Master's degree at Indiana State, Dortch served as the head athletic trainer for Greencastle High School and was responsible for practices and games for all interscholastic sports.
In the Greencastle community, Dortch serves as the president of the Putnam County Youth Soccer Association and coaches in the travel soccer league as well.
