Lucy Stokes (Sr., St. Louis, Mo./Whitfield School) has been chosen North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week (Field Events) for her performances at Indiana State's Gibson Invitational.
Stokes broke the program record in the hammer throws at 47.12 meters (154-7). She broke the mark on her first throw and then again on her third. That topped the previous mark of 42.7 (140-1) by Adrienne Cobb in 2009. Stokes is currently ranked ninth in the hammer throw in the Great Lakes Region and first in the NCAC.
The Tigers compete this Saturday at Wilmington College's Jenna Strong Invite.
