Women fall to No. 12 Sewanee

The women's' tennis team lost to 12th-ranked Sewanee on Saturday 9-0.

The 29th-ranked Tigers had just one extended set at No. 1 singles where Alyssa Seneviratne lost to Clem Davila, ranked 38th individually, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6.

At No. 2 singles, Colleen Morris fell 6-2, 6-1; at No. 3 singles Ali Bush lost 6-1, 6-0; at No. 4 Amanda Showalter took a 6-1, 6-1 loss; Megan Galle at No. 5 singles lost 6-2, 6-4; and at No. 6 Sarah Wilder retired after dropping a 6-0 first set.

In doubles play, Galle and Wilder fell at the No. 1 spot 8-4. At No. 2, Morris and Bush lost 8-3, and at No. 3, Showalter and Seneviratne lost 8-3.

DePauw drops to 3-6 overall, while Sewanee moves to 13-4. Next, DePauw faces Wisconsin-Whitewater in South Carolina on Wednesday.
