Saturday Sweep Give Tigers a Weekend Split

St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw topped Cornell 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-23) and rallied to top Hendrix 3-2 (13-25, 23-25, 29-27, 25-13, 15-12) to complete a Saturday sweep and a weekend split at the Baden Invite hosted by Washington University. DePauw is now 5-3 with today's wins.

Lauren Falotico paced the Tigers with 10 kills, while Faith Rolwes assisted on 24 of DePauw's 38 kills. Keely McGrath and Rachael Lenderman each had two aces, while McGrath led with 14 digs. Hailey Bitzer paced the squad with five blocks.

Diamond Boyd led Cornell with 11 kills with Katherine Devlin pacing the team with 34 assists. Ellie Scripps and Mariah Brandly each had nine digs with Boyd and Jenah Vandersall totaling four blocks apiece. Cornell dropped to 3-5.

In the Hendrix match, the Tigers came all the way back from a 2-0 deficit for the third time this season. Falotico had 17 kills with Suzanne Peters adding 14 and Wilson 13. Rolwes led with 41 assists with Abby Braun totaling four aces and Emily Beckes three. McGrath had a team-high 22 digs and Wilson finished with eight blocks assists.

MC Rogers led Hendrix with 20 kills with Holyn Duyck pacing the team with 27 assists. Leila Matsumoto finished with 26 digs and Sara Dyslin led with four block assists. Hendrix dropped to 5-4.

DePauw travels to Springfield, Ohio, next weekend for the Wittenberg Fall Classic.
