DePauw Drops Opening Two Matches at Baden Invite

St. Louis, Mo. - DePauw moved to 3-3 on the season after dropping its first two matches of Washington University's Baden Invite. The Tigers lost to the eighth-ranked hosts, 3-1 (25-10, 27-29, 25-16, 25-18) before being blanked by Whitworth, 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-22).

In the Washington-St. Louis match, Lauren Falotico paced the Tigers with 11 kills, while Elisabeth Wilson added 10. Faith Rolwes assisted on 31 of the Tigers' 40 kills and Emily Beckes had two service aces. Keely McGrath paced the defensive effort with 21 digs with Rolwes, Haley Bitzer and Wilson totaling four blocks each.

Jackie Nelligan led the Bears with 17 kills and a .531 attack percentage. Allison Zastrow assisted on 51 of Washington's 59 kills with Alex Sheredy and Nkiru Udenze each notching three aces. Lauren Fournier and Udenze each had 18 digs with Jackie Nelligan finishing with five blocks.

Suzanne Peters and Wilson led DePauw with six kills apiece against Whitworth while Rolwes had 21 assists. Keely McGrath and Rolwes each had 13 digs with Wilson totaling four blocks.

Whitworth's Casandra Mendoza finished with 11 kills, while Maddye Dinsmore assisted on 35 of the team's 44 kills. Mallorie Schoesler led with 15 digs, while Dinsmore, Brenna Bruil and Haley Vick each had two blocks.

DePauw faces Cornell (Iowa) and Hendrix on Saturday.
