DePauw Moves to 18-7 with Saturday Split

Holland, Mich. - DePauw split its Saturday matches, dropping a 3-1 decision (25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18) at top-ranked Hope before blanking Kalamazoo 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-17). The Tigers are now 18-7 on the season.

In the match against the number-one Flying Dutch, the Tigers handed the hosts just their fourth set loss on the season by winning the second set, but Hope prevailed.

Lauren Falotico led DePauw with 12 kills, while Faith Rolwes had 32 assists. Keely McGrath's three aces and 27 digs paced the team as did the five blocks from Falotico and Mary Kate Etling

Jenna Grasmeyer posted 20 kills for Hope with Lauren Hazekamp and Allie Mitchell each recording 21 digs. Hazekamp led with 50 assists.

In he win over Kalamazoo, Falotico led with 15 kills and Sarah Burtenshaw followed with 10 as well as a team-best .588 attack percentage. Rolwes assisted on 31 of DePauw's 48 kills, while McGrath led the way with 14 digs. Elisabeth Wilson topped the squad with three blocks.

Noa Yaakoby paced the Hornets with seven kills, while Logan Horejsi had 30 digs.

DePauw travels to Rose-Hulman on Wednesday, October 15, for a 7 p.m. match.
