Pair of Friday Wins Pushes 22nd-ranked DePauw to 8-1

Greencastle, Ind. - The 22nd-ranked Tigers opened play at the DePauw Tigers Invitational with a pair of wins to improve to 8-1 on the season. 

DePauw defeated Defiance 3-1 (26-24, 22-25, 25-17, 25-12) before blanking Baldwin Wallace 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-11).

Elisabeth Wilson led the Tigers with 17 kills against Defiance with Sarah Burtenshaw chipping in 15. Faith Rolwes assisted on 48 of DePauw's 57 kills.

Emily Beckes led the way with 13 digs with Keely McGrath adding 10, while Rolwes had four blocks.

Wilson had 11 kills against Baldwin Wallace and hit .611 for the match, while Rolwes led the way with 31 kills. Beckes totaled three service aces and the trio of Molly Rinehart, Mary Kate Etling and Wilson finished with four blocks apiece.

DePauw returns to play tomorrow at Noon when it hosts Hanover. The Tigers also face 25th-ranked Millikin at 4 p.m. The complete tournament schedule with result of today's matches is available here.
