Greencastle, Ind.- After being named the most valuable player of the Berry College Invitational, junior setter, Faith Rolwes (Chesterfield, Mo./Villa Duchesne) was named the Sports Imports/American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Player of the Week.
Rolwes becomes just the second Tiger to receive the award, after Janie Hodgkinson won the award on October 22, 2001.
Over the weekend, Rolwes totaled 134 assists, averaging 9.57 per set. She racked up 25 kills with a .632 attack percentage and added 37 digs. Additionally, she notched five service aces and nine total blocks.
A 2013 AVCA All-Great Lakes Region honorable mention and two-time All-NCAC First Team selection, Rolwes has picked up right where she left of last season. Behind her strong play the Tigers won the Berry College Invitational and return to action Friday, September 5, when they play Spalding at Hanover College.
