Greencastle, Ind.- After returning to the NCAA Division III postseason for the first time since 2000 the DePauw volleyball team is poised to build off last year's success in the 2014 season.
The Tigers finished last season with a 26-7 overall record and a 6-2 mark in North Coast Athletic Conference play. They finished tied for second in the regular season standings and grabbed third place in the NCAC tournament before earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship where they dropped their first round match against Otterbein.
DePauw was picked to finish second in the recent NCAC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll trailing last year's conference champions, Wittenberg University, by just eight points.
Four All-NCAC selections highlight the list of returners for the Tigers, including first-team setter Faith Rolwes who led the conference with 10.81 assists per set. Also returning are second-teamers Keely McGrath and Elisabeth Wilson and honorable mention selection Lauren Falotico. McGrath paced the Tigers with 564 digs, while Wilson averaged 1.05 blocks per set and Falotico averaged 2.99 kills per set.
The Tigers open the 2014 campaign on Saturday, August 30, at the Berry College Invitational in Rome, Ga.
