Terre Haute, Ind. - Paced by firsts in five events, DePauw totaled 118 points and finished third among seven schools at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird. Baldwin Wallace won with 186.5 and Rose-Hulman was second with 138.5.
Natalie Gruszka was a double-winner with firsts in the 800 meters (2:23.47) and the 1,500 meters (5:01.31). Kaitlyn Daanen won the 100 (12.77) and Amanda Weber did the same in the 200 (26.55). Weber also was third in the 100 (12.85).
Claudia Monnett was second in the 5,000 meters (17:47.88) as was Emily Wilson in the high jump (1.50m/4-11). Elena Ponder placed third in the high jump (1.50m/4-11). Gabby Coffing rounded out the Tigers' top-four finishes with a foruth in the 1,500 meters (5:12.90).
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, April 1, when it competes in the Centre Invitational.
