Galle Earns First NCAC Player of the Week Honor

DePauw freshman Megan Galle (Columbus, Ind.) picked up her first North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors following her performance for the week ending Feb. 21.

Galle finished with a combined record of 5-1 between singles and doubles competition last week. In singles, she was 2-1 in the sixth flight, which included a pair of straight 6-0, 6-0 set victories over Centre and Wooster.

In doubles, Galle and fellow freshman Colleen Morris (Lake Forest, Ill.) won all three of their matches in the third flight. The duo lost just five games in total and were the lone point in an 8-1 loss against No. 13 Washington (Mo.) on Sunday.

The Tigers, ranked 14th in the most recent ITA National Poll, opened the season with back-to-back wins over Centre, 7-2, and Wooster, 9-0, before falling to Washington.

Next, the Tigers play Carnegie Mellon at home in the ITA DIII National Indoor Championship.
