Grimm's 25-yarder Enough for Tigers in Win

Ali Grimm sank a goal from about 25 yards out in the first half in what ended up being the lone goal for the Tigers in a 1-0 victory over Wooster on Saturday.

Grimm, who came off the bench, battled for possession of the ball before letting it fly from the right side of the field. The ball found the upper left corner of the net in the 39th minute just before halftime. It was Grimm's third goal of the season.

DePauw had plenty of opportunities to expand their lead. They outshot Wooster 14-3 and took the corner advantage 8-0, but they just could not find the back of the net again.

Riley Riordan made just two saves in the win to improve her, and the Tigers' record, to 8-4-1. DePauw is now 4-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Carly Eppler made four saves in the loss for Wooster, who now moves to 4-7-4 overall and 1-1-3 in the NCAC.

The Tigers are back in action Tuesday when they travel to Wittenberg.
